Free Party - February 1st (Daytime) - Brixton
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

We Continue is a brand new daytime event designed to change the way you think about partying and give a different shape to your weekend.

You spoke and we listened! Its uplifting house, its bouncy electro, its comfy sofas and quirky décor, it’s in South London and best of all, IT’S FREE!!!

We’re thrilled to be holding our first ever party at the legendary Dogstar in Brixton, a venue steeped in musical history which has played host to some amazing live bands and parties over the years and this will be their first ever Sunday afternoon party!

If you’ve never been to the Dogstar before (and even if you have) you can’t fail to be stunned by the surrealist décor which is different in each and every room. We’re lucky enough to be having our party in the VIP suite, a gorgeous, intimate room with comfy sofas and armchairs, a perfectly proportioned dance space, chandeliers, a private bar and almost panoramic views of Brixton’s buzzing community thanks to the huge windows. The Dogstar is only a 5 minute walk from Brixton tube and overground train services.

Sunday afternoon just got a lot more interesting.

Sunday Saviours:
NOT SHY (This Is Not A Rave/CAT)
SOOTHSAYER (Disco 3001)
JASMINE (Dice, No Judgement)
KILLEMILIO (Dice, UpTownBoogieDown)

Entry: FREE!

This event is going to be well worth the flight. Its at Club X-it (219 North 21st Avenue Hollywood, Florida 33020). I can't wait to see them live! This event is going to be huge.

Hi all.

This will make me sound like a culturally inept plebian, but I need a bit of music identified for me.

It's the track with the tune from Les Rythmes Digitales' "Jacques Your Body" but with Housey vocals about love, I think. They usually are.

Is it a seperate track entirely, or just a remix? Has it been on an album recently?

And, finally,

What the feck is it called?!

Thank you for your co-operation on this matter. Enjoy your Friday night.

I am soon moving to Berlin therefore I need to raise some cash to fund my move and the shipping of my stuff. Please take a look at the following items, and let me know if you are interested in purchasing any. You can reply below or, best option, send me an email at alberthofer (AT) gmail (DOT) com.

I am a well-known trader on ebay and other communities (100% positive ebay feedback), I accept paypal, uncrossed postal orders, cash sent at buyer's risk. I combine shipping and cut good deals for multiple purchases. Thank you, please spread the word to anybody who is interested, I seriously need some money to sort my life out.

I am in urgent need of money, therefore I am selling some items, including quite a lot of records from my collection. Please take a look and spread the word, it's for a VERY noble cause!. It would be great if you made this list circulate among your friends who may want to buy something, just tell them to email me at: alberthofer (at) gmail (dot) com.

I will take cash, paypal and uncrossed postal orders. I'd rather avoid cheques as they get too messy. I will ship anywhere in the world, provided that you'll cover for the postage. I can show you my kick-ass ebay feedback, if you need further reassurance.

Most items are in perfect, brand new conditions.

Email me with an offer for each, and we'll negotiate a final price. I'll be honest but please make me decent offers, some of these records are worth quite a bit.

Hello everyone!

I am a Canadian living in Edinburgh. My sister lives here as well, and our brother is coming to visit us later this month. We will be in London the weekend of the 21st, and since it is my sister's 25th birthday, would like to go clubbing at a really nice place. My sister is interested in going to Ministry of Sound, just to see what it's like. I've found a few websites with club listings in London but I don't know how accurate they actually are. Is Ministry of Sound as good as it's reputation, or as it used to be? (Or whatever?). What is the dress code like? In short, is it worth it?

Any other clubs that could be recommended? We're interested in house or techno clubs, where it's about the music and not a meat market. I'm not sure yet where we're staying yet but we're leaning towards taking buses more than the tube, so accessible by buses would be a plus.

This community doesn't look to lively, but I'm leaving for England this week and will be there for two months. I was wondering what are some good clubs to go to and what style of music they typically have. I like house and drum n bass, but I'm up for anything as long as the atmosphere is good. Also are there any websites that have good information about raves and things going on in England? I've googled a bit, but haven't found any that are up to date.

New cyber site which might be of interest to people here! I see the community's not really active, but maybe some of you will see this on your friend's list.

It's just opened, but is already starting to get posts. We have some public forums, but signing up means you can post, and gets you members-only forums and articles, access to post photos, links, calendar events, and access to the arcade. Plus, in the calendar, you can sign up to let people know you'll be at an event - should be great for organising meet-ups as the site grows!

Mods, sorry if you don't allow advertising like this, feel free to delete if it's a problem. :)

New community

This is a community for people to post reviews of clubs, music, shops, books, films, role-playing games and anything else of interest.

Although this is mainly for goth related subjects, anything relevant is OK.

Adverts for events such as club nights are more than welcome, but please don't spam the community with them 10 times a day!

Also welcome are requests to help out at club nights and the like

Camden Palace

Went out on Saturday night to camden palace, it was my first time there and I must say I wasn't impressed. It said it was a hard house event but the music was more like a collection of anthems, and the mixture of people was crap... there was too many "LADS" and not enough true clubbers.

I seem to find that a good hard house club has extremly pumping underground H H, with a mixture of Cyber Ravers, Kandi Ravers and dark Cyber Goths, all these elements make for a good night out but unfourtunitly camden palace had alot of pissed-up wa*kers looking for a fight - or to pick-up anything in a skirt, thank god for the fridge.... i'm still looking for something to top it!! lol

Just my 2 cents

P.S: Let's all goto the fridge this fri!!! i'm gonna be dancing on stage for them... I need some support :-)
